We have added a Gambling Questionnaire which can help shed light on whether your or someone else may have a Gambling problem. The questionnaire isn’t a test to label you or tell you who you are. It’s a gentle tool to help you notice patterns that might be easy to overlook when gambling feels like a normal part of life, or when stress and financial pressure make it harder to step back.
Why the questions matter
Each “yes” response points to areas where gambling may be affecting your well being. This could be several areas such as the below.
- Daily life — missing work, school, or sleep
- Relationships — tension at home, arguments, or neglecting family needs
- Finances — borrowing, selling possessions, or chasing losses
- Emotions — gambling to escape worry, grief, or frustration
- Safety — risky actions, or even thoughts of self‑harm
Even one “yes” can be meaningful if it connects to something that feels heavy or difficult in your life.
How to interpret your answers
- 5 or more “yes” responses → a strong signal to reach out for support.
- 2 or more “yes” responses → worth reflecting on your habits and whether gambling is taking more space than you want.
- Even 1 “yes” → can matter if it touches on something deeply personal.
The point isn’t the number, but the story behind your answers. Everyone is different and their situation may not reflect a problem where with someone else it could.
